Successful Severance Negotiation

"I need to speak with someone who has successfully negotiated a
severance package since the recession began.  Please be willing to
share your experience, intimidation, fear, success, satisfaction,
etc.  What tactics did you use to argue your case?   Do not need to
use full name, or company name.  First name and role at your former
company will work."

Jared Kreiner, National Publication - Weekly Periodical

Deadline: 5:00 PM EASTERN - April 3

Laid off workers applying to B-School

Region: New York region

"I'm with the largest daily newspaper in Japan and am doing a story
on the record number of applicants to business schools in the U.S.
According to some experts, many laid off white-collar workers are
applying and plan to return to school. I'm hoping to interview
someone who has applied to b-school, or alternatively who just
started b-school in September, who was laid off from his or her job
in 2008 or 2009. Thanks for your consideration!"

(Put HARO-LAID OFF B-SCHOOLERS? in
sub)

Deadline: 5:00 PM EASTERN - April 2

Did losing your job HEAL your life?

"CALLING ALL WOMEN: Sometimes we don't make POSITIVE changes to our
life until we're forced to. If the recent economic crunch pushed
you out of a comfy position ... but into a happier, more satisfying
life...  then I think you've a story to tell and would love to hear
from you. (maybe you're now self-employed, maybe you're finally
earning profit off of a long-held hobby/passion? maybe you're now a
consultant and have more time with the kids?) Please send me your
name, age, and a short description of the life change you recently
went through (Including the job you had, the circumstance that
forced you to leave it and the current success you're experiencing
now.) This is for possible inclusion in a story to appear in a
national women's magazine. Please be willing to be photographed
should your story be chosen."

Amelia Farquhar, national women's magazine

Deadline: 5:00 PM EASTERN - April 4
